Fair trade is not charity — it is a standard: fair value for work, dignity for people, and zero tolerance for child labour. Fair trade must guarantee fair pay, safe working conditions, transparent pricing, responsible sourcing, and equal opportunity throughout the supply chain. There is no fair trade where child labour, forced labour, exploitation, or abusive working conditions exist.
